The old mill Sant'Andrea of Piazza Armerina

Going along Via Tasso and coming close to the Grand Priory of St. Andrew, you get into a dirt road leading up to the old mill Sant'Andrea which has significant size.
The only part of the original structure is still visible than that of the feeding channel, while the other rooms were reworked and intended to house.
The channel walls are made of blocks of the local square and then rinzaffata stone.
That part of the terminal is supported by two arches, given the considerable height of the fall that has a stepped profile. They are also visible in the iron chains that were used to stabilize the masonry.
