Calabernardo is a seaside hamlet of Noto Syracuse Sicily


Calabernardo is a seaside hamlet of Noto.

It is 7.77 km from the center of the town of Syracuse. Calabernardo (or Balata) takes its name from an episode occurred in the early twentieth century to a young man named Bernardo who was in the beach of the hamlet netina first took off his trousers giving rise to its construction before entering the water, so that a gentleman witnessed the scene and shouted to the population of the fraction "Carusi, Bennaddu calau the causes", and it is from here that the name "Calabernardo" originates.
