Catacombs of San Michele Arcangelo in Palermo


The catacombs are found inside the Church of San Crispino and Crispiniano: two gems that lie within the municipal library of Casa Professa. The Church was founded in 1149 and renewed in the early part of the seventeenth century.

Originally dedicated to San Leonardo, hired lâ current name for the prayerfulness that â  Scarpariâ brought to the two Saints Cobblers. Rebuilt in the 800 after a collapse has been damaged in the bombing of 1943.
nuovo recently restored after decades of decay, has spacious and bright spaces, an outdoor garden cared for, and-through the transparency of the floor-show finds of underground.
The area of the Church is all a succession of spectacular subterranean caverns.
